After 2 played minutes Wisła Kraków Old Boys got a freekick which was hit by Leszek Sidor. Ospin Sánchez did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Julio Vera 7 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the match, Wisła Kraków Old Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Roman Japola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roman Japola didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Wisła Kraków Old Boys's Roman Japola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roman Japola was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leszek Sidor in the 20th minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. The corner led Wisła Kraków Old Boys's Damian Debowy to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ospin Sánchez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ospin Sánchez in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Roman Japola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute Wisła Kraków Old Boys were awarded a corner. Damian Debowy went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Wisła Kraków Old Boys's Leszek Sidor getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 44 minutes into the game, Wisła Kraków Old Boys's Ospin Sánchez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2.

The wind increased when Ospin Sánchez made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Wisła Kraków Old Boys's goalkeeper Roman Japola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. In the 52nd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Wisła Kraków Old Boys's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ospin Sánchez, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After 59 minutes of play, Wisła Kraków Old Boys's Ospin Sánchez made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wisła Kraków Old Boys's Boris Johnson was substituted for Tolek Skoroda. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 69th minute. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Roman Japola quite easily take care of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luis Fernández in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Roman Japola could save by the left post. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Fernández in the 77th minute of play. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Japola having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-3. After 83 minutes, Karahan Bilkan made it 4-3 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 94th minute Karahan Bilkan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Wisła Kraków Old Boys support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
