Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 8 minutes into the match, Axel Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gregor Kobel. Espen Steelers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Axel Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Stan Wawrinka tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abram Sarmiento in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gregor Kobel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gregor Kobel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 22nd minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Abram Sarmiento notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Espen Steelers's Gregor Kobel. Gregor Kobel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 28th minute, Joshua Garrido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gregor Kobel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the game, Colombia's Kevin Mastache nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gregor Kobel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Kevin Mastache's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gregor Kobel was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stan Wawrinka in the 43rd minute of play. Alain Berset sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Rogelio Montez replaced Alain Berset. Joshua Garrido made in the 63rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Espen Steelers's Williams Imholz. A collision led to Espen Steelers getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Torben Krabber hit a great ball. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rogelio Montez went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. If Rogelio Montez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 4-3 when Rogelio Montez sped through Colombia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. In the 79th minute, Rogelio Montez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Espen Steelers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-3. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Montez in the 81st minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
