Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gregor Kobel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Gregor Kobel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 5th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Espen Steelers's Rolando Noboa threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nino Schurter, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 12th minute Alain Berset shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Espen Steelers's goalie prevented a goal. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nino Schurter in the 21st minute of play. Rolando Noboa had great luck who in the 21stth minute grab hold of the ball when Nino Schurter from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Gregor Kobel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 27th minute of the match. Gregor Kobel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 27th minute of play. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. If Alain Berset had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute Nino Schurter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nino Schurter, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After a rather tough play, Espen Steelers's Marco Odermatt got a free kick in the 39th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Luz Tejedor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Gregor Kobel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gregor Kobel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nino Schurter in the 58th minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alain Berset in the 62nd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Espen Steelers's Gregor Kobel. Gregor Kobel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Espen Steelers's Tobie Canclini was substituted for Ingo Minder. Espen Steelers's Paul Klee was substituted for Marco Odermatt. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alain Berset, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stan Wawrinka in the 83rd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milagros Fraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregor Kobel having to interfere. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. In the 90th minute, Nino Schurter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gregor Kobel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Alain Berset put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Rolando Noboa. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Peru had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
