Ture Asklöv made in the 79th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Martin Budín. In the 83rd minute, Peru's Julian Murillo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. In the 88th minute, Peru's Rafael Gallo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mitchel Dijkstra. Mitchel Dijkstra yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Mitchel Dijkstra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rafael Gallo went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Peru had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
