Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Abram Sarmiento took the kick off in the first half of the match. Humberto Jonge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Fc Benefica's Leandro Soares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 11th minute of the match Colombia got a corner. Fc Benefica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Kevin Mastache almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Fc Benefica's Mitchel Dijkstra did a great save. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Leandro Soares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Leandro Soares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leandro Soares was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 18th minute. Fc Benefica's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Leandro Soares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Mitchel Dijkstra came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Axel Montenegro. But to his dismay, Axel Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 30 minutes into the match, Axel Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mitchel Dijkstra. Fc Benefica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Axel Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Mitchel Dijkstra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abram Sarmiento went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Mitchel Dijkstra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 42nd minute Kevin Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mitchel Dijkstra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jens van Basten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Colombia were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 52 minutes, Leandro Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Benefica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leandro Soares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mitchel Dijkstra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th match minute, Fc Benefica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Jonge to maneuver through the defense. Mitchel Dijkstra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 59th minute of the match. After 62 minutes of play, Fc Benefica's Leandro Soares made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Soares in the 68th minute of play. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Fc Benefica's Eduard Gryshko quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Luis Cazalla, made in the 71st minute of the game. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Fc Benefica booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Orlando Tafalla hit a great ball. Leandro Soares, 75 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Leandro Soares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leandro Soares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Leandro Soares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Hugo Andriessen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Indiano to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the game, Fc Benefica's Leandro Soares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. In the 93rd minute, Denis Beremundo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Leandro Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Fc Benefica had won after a very even match.
