In the 7thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vykans Vikingar's Ingmar Stenberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Bengt-Arne Haglund notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vykans Vikingar's Ingmar Stenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 13th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Arne Haglund came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vykans Vikingar's Ingmar Stenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute of play. Ingmar Stenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Ingmar Stenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 30th minute of play. Ingmar Stenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute of the match. A collision led to Vykans Vikingar getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Hugo Eden hit a great ball. Primitivo Andino got a throw-in 41 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Felix Montenegro. If Bengt-Arne Haglund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bengt-Arne Haglund took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt-Arne Haglund in the 52nd minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Ingmar Stenberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Arne Haglund in the 59th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Vykans Vikingar getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Hílton Souza hit a great ball. Agustín Saelices who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Ingmar Stenberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ingmar Stenberg made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Bengt-Arne Haglund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Bengt-Arne Haglund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vykans Vikingar's Börje Stål was substituted for Elliott Bogren. Vykans Vikingar's Abdi Revis was substituted for Hugo Eden. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Arne Haglund in the 72nd minute of play. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Vykans Vikingar's Bengt-Arne Haglund. But to his dismay, Bengt-Arne Haglund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 78th minute of play forced Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Ingmar Stenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abdi Revis kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Ingmar Stenberg made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Börje Stål during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 85th match minute, Vykans Vikingar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Börje Stål to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Börje Stål was slow to take the kick. During this time Vykans Vikingar's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Martin Mutumba heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 92nd minute Bengt-Arne Haglund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bengt-Arne Haglund struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vykans Vikingar. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Vykans Vikingar had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
