Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by DARAS's Toni Nenchev. But to his dismay, Toni Nenchev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Toni Nenchev tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when DARAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iliya Kasabov didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Gonzo Ivanov notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vute Baliev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 31st minute of the match. In the 32ndth minute of the game Axel Tasis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DARAS's Vute Baliev was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vute Baliev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Tasis's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. The supporters of DARAS booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Tasis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Iliya Kasabov in the 33rd minute really tested Benito Sanz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toni Nenchev went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as DARAS's Toni Nenchev slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benito Sanz. That made the score 5-1 after 38 minutes of play. In the 41st minute, Toni Nenchev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Toni Nenchev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 45th minute. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzo Ivanov, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Toni Nenchev's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. The corner ended in Volodya Biradzhiev almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz did a great save. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. DARAS's Paolo Rossi was substituted for Toni Nenchev. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. After having played for 72 minutes, Aaron Alcocer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aaron Alcocer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzo Ivanov in the 74th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute Gonzo Ivanov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzo Ivanov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. DARAS fully deserved thier win.
