The audience was convinced that Gonzo Ivanov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Nores was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Nano Mitrashkov made in the 23rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toni Nenchev. After a rather tough play, DARAS's Nedyalko Berberov got a free kick in the 30th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gonzo Ivanov got free with Jacobo Nores in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute, Nano Mitrashkov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nedyalko Berberov kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Primitivo Escribano's late challenge caught a DARAS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Primitivo Escribano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Escribano to maneuver through the defense. Iliya Kasabov kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 56 minutes into the match, DARAS's Toni Nenchev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Nores narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, DARAS's Nedyalko Berberov got a free kick in the 61st minute. DARAS made a substitution. Paolo Rossi replaced Toni Nenchev. Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Dragan Mangezov, made in the 80th minute of the game. A collision led to DARAS getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Nano Mitrashkov hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Paraguay's Jaime Pardo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vute Baliev. That made the score 2-1 after 82 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nedyalko Berberov during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. DARAS were victorious despite being under pressure from Paraguay for much of the match.
