Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Peru's Julian Murillo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Paredes got free with Rolando Noboa in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The throw-in from Emmanuel Reyes in the 13th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Gremio Viana's Amado Melo. Samuel Fiúza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Murillo went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Milagros Fraga kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Emmanuel Reyes made in the 23rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Milagros Fraga immediately put the ball in play. Emmanuel Reyes made in the 24th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Milagros Fraga however managed to control. 25 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Samuel Fiúza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Samuel Fiúza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Samuel Fiúza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Luz Tejedor got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Samuel Fiúza quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Gremio Viana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samuel Fiúza should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquim Paredes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fabrizio Crognale hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Peru's Luz Tejedor shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 53rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Samuel Fiúza but with some difficulty. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Paredes, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Samuel Fiúza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 66th minute of the match. With a little luck, Gremio Viana's Samuel Fiúza got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 69th minute Joaquim Paredes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuel Fiúza was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Julian Murillo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 73 minute of play. Gremio Viana made a substitution. Antonio Calisto replaced Tony Påk. When the match had been going on for 94 minutes, Peru's Eliseo Mina got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Samuel Fiúza. The crowd rose to their feet as Rafael Gallo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Samuel Fiúza. That made the score 0-7 in the 97 minute of play. The Gremio Viana fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
