Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Felix Sercombe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Sercombe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Anthony Bellucci was slow to take the kick. During this time South Park's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Anthony Bellucci almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Anthony Bellucci did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Julio Vera 9 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ren Mur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustín Saelices might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ren Mur. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Agustín Saelices ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Sercombe in the 24th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Aristides Barrionuevo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the match, South Park's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Ren Mur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Felix Sercombe might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Sercombe ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Sercombe in the 52nd minute of the match. With a little luck, South Park's Ren Mur got control of the ball when Agustín Saelices tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 62nd minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ren Mur was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agustín Saelices's late challenge caught a South Park's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agustín Saelices helped the player get up and apologised. In the 70th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. Anthony Bellucci took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 71st minute Anthony Bellucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ren Mur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 72nd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, South Park's goalkeeper Ren Mur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. The supporters of Ecuador booed when South Park was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristides Barrionuevo didn't get a good kick on the ball. South Park made a substitution. Olof Söderberg replaced Einar Lund. South Park's Krister Christoffersson was substituted for Paul Månsson. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ren Mur came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 91st minute. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
