Samuel Fiúza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santino Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abram Sarmiento to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Orlando Tafalla hit a great ball. After 55 minutes of play, Gremio Viana's Joaquim Paredes made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 62 minutes of play, Colombia's Axel Montenegro made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Samuel Fiúza was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 69th minute, Colombia's Axel Montenegro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-2. Gremio Viana's Antonio Calisto was substituted for Tony Påk. Augustin Panaiteanu kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. With a little luck, Gremio Viana's Samuel Fiúza got control of the ball when Abram Secada tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 81st minute Carlos Luna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabrizio Crognale kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Gremio Viana's Carlos Luna. But to his dismay, Carlos Luna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-3. Samuel Fiúza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abram Secada in the 91st minute. Gremio Viana's Samuel Fiúza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Gremio Viana from getting a goal against them. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colombia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gremio Viana.
