Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) DIEGO ARMANDO MARADONA's Mano Dios started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eduardo Fontirroig struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Emilio Bikendi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bolivia. If Alfonso de la Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Bolivia's Alfredo Ferrant got a free kick in the 17th minute. Alfonso de la Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Camilo Freixa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mano Dios in the 22nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Alfredo Ferrant managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bolivia's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Ferrant was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilio Bikendi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfredo Ferrant recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Mario Fernandino fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bolivia's protests and gave Mario Fernandino a yellow card for diving instead. Mario Fernandino hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the game, Mano Dios recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Camilo Freixa. Mano Dios showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

DIEGO ARMANDO MARADONA's Marcial Flor was substituted for Generoso Goren. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mario Fernandino to strike the kick off in the second half. Mano Dios recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Camilo Freixa came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by DIEGO ARMANDO MARADONA's Mano Dios. But to his dismay, Mano Dios quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Alfredo Ferrant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Bikendi having to interfere. In the 80th match minute, DIEGO ARMANDO MARADONA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clodoveo Gamus to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bolivia's goalkeeper Camilo Freixa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Camilo Freixa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mano Dios, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Bolivia's zone, Mano Dios stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camilo Freixa came out of the goal and Mano Dios tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The DIEGO ARMANDO MARADONA players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
