Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mano Dios kicked off to start the match. Emilio Bikendi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Fontirroig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bolivia's Camilo Freixa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Bolivia from getting a goal against them. Camilo Freixa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generoso Goren in the 6th minute of play. Mano Dios could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Camilo Freixa made a huge save. Eduardo Fontirroig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Bikendi having to interfere. In the 14th minute Mario Fernandino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Bikendi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Mario Fernandino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Camilo Freixa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mano Dios in the 22nd minute of the match. After having played for 34 minutes, Alfonso de la Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bolivia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso de la Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mario Fernandino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emilio Bikendi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. When Alfonso de la Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Bolivia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfonso de la Cruz couldn't finish the play. If Mario Fernandino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bolivia's Camilo Freixa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mano Dios in the 48th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mario Fernandino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mario Fernandino struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Emilio Bikendi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bolivia. In the 57th minute of the match, Eduardo Fontirroig tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Emilio Bikendi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Eduardo Fontirroig struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Emilio Bikendi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bolivia. In the 63rd match minute, DIEGO ARMANDO MARADONA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Americo Boniel to maneuver through the defense. Julio Chicote fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Bikendi having to interfere. DIEGO ARMANDO MARADONA's Mano Dios got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mano Dios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bolivia's Mario Fernandino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Emilio Bikendi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of DIEGO ARMANDO MARADONA booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso de la Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bolivia's zone, Mano Dios stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camilo Freixa came out of the goal and Mano Dios tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of DIEGO ARMANDO MARADONA booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Fernandino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mano Dios recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bolivia were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
