They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 53rd minute. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Luis Andino got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 3-2. 53 minutes into the match. Eduardo Atila didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle, Elohay Elohim אלוהי אלוה could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
