The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Clemente Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clemente Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. A.D Garotos do Vale's Sidney Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 18 minutes, Igor Magalhães mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.D Garotos do Vale and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, A.D Garotos do Vale's Igor Magalhães got a free kick in the 18th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sidney Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 27th minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute of the match Igor Magalhães shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A hard shot 36 in the game by Clemente Machado from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. Clemente Machado's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Franklin Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 46th match minute, A.D Garotos do Vale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Magalhães to maneuver through the defense.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Clemente Machado scored 1-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Jose Correa fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Patricio Costa was extremely unlucky when he, in the 64th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 66th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clemente Machado in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 81st minute of the game Túlio Tinoco made a throw-in which Sidney Castro played forward. When A.D Garotos do Vale's Clemente Machado in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Franklin Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Machado in the 89th minute of play. In the 89th match minute, A.D Garotos do Vale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cido Capixaba to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of A.D Garotos do Vale booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. A.D Garotos do Vale had won after a very even match.
