In the 29th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kryspin Cwynar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gonçalo Catarinense kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Kryspin Cwynar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Sosnowe Klimaty booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 73 played minutes, Sosnowe Klimaty's Sérgio Monteiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sosnowe Klimaty reached it. 78 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kryspin Cwynar. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ecuador's goalie and right to Xavier Angel Al Homaithe. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ecuador's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 89th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ecuador fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! 92 minutes into the game, Sérgio Monteiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 95 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Man came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Sosnowe Klimaty support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
