After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Isaias Sazon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Sajones F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Pastor Frantzes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Pastor Frantzes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 47th minute of play forced Sajones F.C.'s goalkeeper Pastor Frantzes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Sajones F.C.'s Pastor Frantzes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 56th minute of play. Sajones F.C. made a substitution. Hugo Raitin replaced Isaias Sazon. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Ferruccio Chelodi hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Long Chao Jun's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Long Chao Jun helped the player get up and apologised. Long Chao Jun hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the game, Conrad Airpoel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sajones F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Conrad Airpoel kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The long shot by Luis Andino in the 97th minute really tested Pastor Frantzes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.
