When Flavinho Braga fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bucéfalo FC's protests and gave Flavinho Braga a yellow card for diving instead. Flavinho Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Lugano 1 y 2's Niceto Pelayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mazinho Damião in the 12th minute of play. Niceto Pelayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nico Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After some careless play in the Lugano 1 y 2 defense, Mazinho Damião kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niceto Pelayo. The Lugano 1 y 2 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niceto Pelayo should have stopped the shot. Mazinho Damião scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Niceto Pelayo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavinho Braga in the 24th minute of play forced Lugano 1 y 2's goalkeeper Niceto Pelayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavinho Braga scored 0-3 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Niceto Pelayo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute, Mazinho Damião left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bucéfalo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After 40 played minutes Lugano 1 y 2 got a freekick which was hit by Celso Viator. The audience was convinced that Flavinho Braga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Niceto Pelayo was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elias Esiquio during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Lugano 1 y 2 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bucéfalo FC were winning 0-5.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elias Esiquio to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Lugano 1 y 2's zone, Nico Godoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niceto Pelayo came out of the goal and Nico Godoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th minute Nico Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niceto Pelayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mazinho Damião succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 60th playminute. Mazinho Damião took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Niceto Pelayo. Niceto Pelayo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. In the 72nd minute, Mazinho Damião made a precise shot to the right of Niceto Pelayo. Lugano 1 y 2's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. Mazinho Damião took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Niceto Pelayo. Niceto Pelayo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. In the 82nd minute, Mazinho Damião ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niceto Pelayo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. 86 minutes into the match, Lugano 1 y 2's goalkeeper Niceto Pelayo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mazinho Damião. Niceto Pelayo made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Flavinho Braga sent off a good shot on target. In the 92nd minute Nico Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niceto Pelayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nico Godoi in the 95th minute of play forced Lugano 1 y 2's goalkeeper Niceto Pelayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bucéfalo FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
