Pedro Luís Montenegro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 18 minutes into the game, Thomás Freitas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bucéfalo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ALPUJARRAS LIBRE the free kick. In the 18th minute, Thomás Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elazar Garay charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elazar Garay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 21stth minute of the game Romário Passos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ALPUJARRAS LIBRE's Nando Casta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Bucéfalo FC's Marquinhos Pitta got a free kick in the 31st minute. Bucéfalo FC's Pedro Luís Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Venancio Arribas in the 33rd minute of play. Mazinho Damião received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Nando Casta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Bucéfalo FC's Mazinho Damião dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diamantino Ferreira was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Romário Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nando Casta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, ALPUJARRAS LIBRE's goal looked a bit too open when Mazinho Damião came free, but Nando Casta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diamantino Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nando Casta having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, ALPUJARRAS LIBRE's goal looked a bit too open when Romário Passos came free, but Nando Casta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Luís Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Castulo De Silva in the 67th minute of play. After 69 played minutes Bucéfalo FC got a freekick which was hit by Nico Godoi. Nando Casta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mazinho Damião in the 85th minute of the match. Pedro Luís Montenegro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ariando Higuera went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
