Bucéfalo FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Santiago Gabon 9 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Tico Mole notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Amelie FC's Adolfo Fernado. Adolfo Fernado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bucéfalo FC's Pedro Luís Montenegro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Bucéfalo FC from getting a goal against them. Aurelio Rubio hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. A collision led to Bucéfalo FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Marquinhos Pitta hit a great ball. Edgardo Chico struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Pedro Luís Montenegro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amelie FC. 37 minutes into the match, Bucéfalo FC's goalkeeper Pedro Luís Montenegro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aurelio Rubio. Nico Godoi struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Adolfo Fernado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bucéfalo FC. After 43 minutes, Aurelio Rubio made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Bucéfalo FC's Pedro Luís Montenegro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Aquiles Louis got his second yellow card in the match during the 46th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 47 played minutes Amelie FC got a freekick which was hit by Aquiles Louis. In the 48th minute, Romário Passos made a precise shot to the right of Adolfo Fernado. Amelie FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tico Mole was the one to do the kick off. Adolfo Fernado made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Tico Mole sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Gabon in the 55th minute of play forced Bucéfalo FC's goalkeeper Pedro Luís Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Nico Godoi took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Adolfo Fernado to make any attempt to save it. Tico Mole could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Adolfo Fernado made a huge save. Pedro Luís Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Gabon in the 65th minute of play. Bucéfalo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Amelie FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Bucéfalo FC's Marquinhos Pitta got a free kick in the 70th minute. Santiago Gabon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 73 minutes into the game, Marquinhos Pitta threw the ball into play from the sideline. Amelie FC's Eriberto Ganix quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 74 played minutes Amelie FC got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Rubio. After 80 minutes of play, Bucéfalo FC's Tico Mole made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adolfo Fernado was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 82nd match minute, Amelie FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Matthew to maneuver through the defense. Thomás Freitas made in the 84th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Amelie FC's Eriberto Ganix. In the 85th minute, Bucéfalo FC's Edgard Costa seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Edgard Costa the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Bucéfalo FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Edgard Costa had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bucéfalo FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 85th minute. Penalty! Bucéfalo FC:s Pedro Luís Montenegro showed great skill when he stopped Edgardo Chico:s penalty. Dadá Britto made in the 91st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Amelie FC's Nicasio Argenis. After a defensive mix-up in Amelie FC's zone, Nico Godoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Fernado came out of the goal and Nico Godoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Bucéfalo FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bucéfalo FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
