In the 8th minute, Viktor Axelsson made a precise shot to the right of Marcial Lordi. RIVER's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fidel Gora got free with Călin Prunaru in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. RIVER's Marcial Lordi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Axelsson in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th minute Pau Novo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Lordi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Viktor Axelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC MCM's Călin Prunaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niki Lauda in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Isbășoiu in the 24th minute of play forced RIVER's goalkeeper Marcial Lordi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcial Lordi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cătălin Agulescu in the 26th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Viktor Axelsson notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of RIVER's Marcial Lordi. Marcial Lordi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 29 minutes into the match, FC MCM's Cătălin Agulescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcial Lordi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, RIVER's goal looked a bit too open when Pau Novo came free, but Marcial Lordi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, FC MCM's Viktor Axelsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcial Lordi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. RIVER's Marcial Lordi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pau Novo in the 39th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Cătălin Agulescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcial Lordi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Niki Lauda made a kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC MCM's goalkeeper Călin Prunaru, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 57 minutes into the match, RIVER's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Isbășoiu came free, but Marcial Lordi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Călin Prunaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niki Lauda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC MCM's Elodio Ghinescu was substituted for Daniel Ciolofan. RIVER made a substitution. Pipo Benedetto replaced Wu Li Zhi. Fidel Gora kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, RIVER's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Isbășoiu came free, but Marcial Lordi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Marcial Lordi managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when FC MCM's Pau Novo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 81st minute Adrian Isbășoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Lordi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcial Lordi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Isbășoiu in the 82nd minute of play. Elodio Ghinescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. RIVER's Marcial Lordi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vali Cârnu in the 89th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Pipo Benedetto managed to get in a good position for a shot. RIVER's supporters rose to their feet, but Pipo Benedetto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Călin Prunaru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pau Novo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Marcial Lordi made a huge save. In the 94th minute, Radomil Redisz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC MCM fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. FC MCM's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
