The crowd rose to their feet as Frank Mesquita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Telmo Trigo. That made the score 1-1 in the 31 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Adolfo Leite in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oséias Dionísio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oséias Dionísio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Adolfo Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the game, Franklin Araújo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Telmo Trigo. Franklin Araújo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Adolfo Leite stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Franklin Araújo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Telmo Trigo. A.A. Francana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Franklin Araújo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Serginho Alagoano went to the cornerflag to take it. Oséias Dionísio made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Adolfo Leite in the 85th minute. With 93 minutes on the clock, Denílson Leite commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in A.A. Francana fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! Telmo Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franklin Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. 99 minutes into the match, A.A.
