Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) When Natanael Pinheiro came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the CE LAJEADENSE RS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natanael Pinheiro couldn't finish the play. Wilton Berger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfredo Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glauco Paranaense in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute Frederico Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Gustavo Teles kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. CE LAJEADENSE RS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Frank Sten scored to the left of an out of position Lauro Linhares, making the score, 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Villaverde Celeste Clube's Frank Sten slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lauro Linhares. That made the score 2-0 after 15 minutes of play. With a little luck, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Lauro Linhares got control of the ball when Frank Sten tried to sneak it across the goal line. Glauco Paranaense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredo Linares having to make a save. After some careless play in the Villaverde Celeste Clube defense, Luís de Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredo Linares. The Villaverde Celeste Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredo Linares should have stopped the shot. Frank Sten spun around in front of the goal 31 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of CE LAJEADENSE RS's goal. 33 minutes into the match, Villaverde Celeste Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Luís de Lara came free, but Alfredo Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute Róbson Donato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Luís de Lara got a free kick in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Frederico Godoi made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's goal looked a bit too open when Wilton Berger came free, but Lauro Linhares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lauro Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sten in the 57th minute of play. The supporters of CE LAJEADENSE RS booed when Villaverde Celeste Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Netto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lauro Linhares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederico Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giuliano David in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lauro Linhares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to CE LAJEADENSE RS getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Natanael Pinheiro hit a great ball. Giuliano David fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lauro Linhares having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cléber de Souza during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Villaverde Celeste Clube booed when CE LAJEADENSE RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cléber de Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Lauro Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sten in the 79th minute of play. The supporters of CE LAJEADENSE RS booed when Villaverde Celeste Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Valladares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliézer Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alfredo Linares came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by CE LAJEADENSE RS's Glauco Paranaense. But to his dismay, Glauco Paranaense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Lauro Linhares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilton Berger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With 87 minutes on the clock, Cléber de Souza commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 88th minute, Cléber de Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes into the match, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Róbson Donato broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Alfredo Linares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Glauco Paranaense went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Villaverde Celeste Clube lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
