Francana booed when Mamutes EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robinho Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Mamutes EC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Bola Forte hit a great ball. Marcinho Fonseca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Adolfo Leite went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 15 minutes of play, A.A. Francana's João Adolfo Leite made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcinho Fonseca was left in no man's land by his defense there! With his leg Telmo Trigo managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Mamutes EC's Almir Damião fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, A.A. Francana's Armandinho Vergílio got a free kick in the 26th minute. Telmo Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Almir Damião in the 27th minute of play. Mamutes EC's Bola Forte got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Almir Damião received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Telmo Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bola Forte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Francana's Telmo Trigo. Telmo Trigo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Almir Damião in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Telmo Trigo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 94th minute of the match Mamutes EC got a corner. A.A. Francana's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. David Lima ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that David Lima got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Telmo Trigo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Mamutes EC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of A.A. Francana for a fine match.
