The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 minutes, Armandinho Vergílio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.A. Francana and the AS Pikachuzim players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 2nd minute, Armandinho Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Serginho Alagoano kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Dadá Torres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Telmo Trigo. A.A. Francana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dadá Torres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Claudinho Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Eduardo Donato in the 15th minute of play. Telmo Trigo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dadá Torres in the 20th minute. João Adolfo Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Claudinho Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Victor da Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes into the game, Victor da Fonseca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AS Pikachuzim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.A. Francana the free kick. The supporters of A.A. Francana booed when AS Pikachuzim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor da Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Serginho Alagoano kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Cristian Bittencourt's late challenge caught a A.A. Francana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristian Bittencourt helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to AS Pikachuzim getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Cristian Bittencourt hit a great ball. Cristian Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

AS Pikachuzim were furious when Victor da Fonseca was red carded, 51 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. AS Pikachuzim made a substitution. Eduardo Gaúcho replaced Vito Batista. After 50 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for AS Pikachuzim! Claudinho Moura had in the 54thth minute some difficulties stopping Serginho Alagoano's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Claudinho Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Adolfo Leite in the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute Luís Eduardo Donato suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Tiago Lira charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiago Lira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A.A. Francana made a substitution. Ruy Fantini replaced Luís Eduardo Donato. Ruy Fantini kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. A.A. Francana's Telmo Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dadá Torres in the 67th minute of play. Armandinho Vergílio kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Telmo Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago Lira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th match minute, A.A. Francana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Adolfo Leite to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dadá Torres in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Telmo Trigo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 88 minutes into the match, AS Pikachuzim's goalkeeper Claudinho Moura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ruy Fantini. Telmo Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dadá Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute Eduardo Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Bittencourt took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Telmo Trigo. Telmo Trigo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. AS Pikachuzim were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of A.A. Francana for a fine match.
