Villaverde Celeste Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Róbson Donato was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedrão Souto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Frank Sten kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedrão Souto. That made the score 1-3 in the 66 minute of play. A collision led to Villaverde Celeste Clube getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Alberto Valladares hit a great ball. In the 74th minute of the match, Giuliano David tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pedrão Souto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 75 minutes into the match, Wilton Berger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedrão Souto. Atlético de Crisal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilton Berger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. After 78 played minutes Atlético de Crisal got a freekick which was hit by Toninho Martins. In the 81st minute, Mané Garrincha made a precise shot to the right of Pedrão Souto. Atlético de Crisal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Atlético de Crisal's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Frank Sten scored to the left of an out of position Pedrão Souto, making the score, 1-6. Pedrão Souto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mané Garrincha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Villaverde Celeste Clube had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
