In the 3rd minute Dadá Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gianluigi Donnarumma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Gianluigi Donnarumma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save S.E.R. Caxias do Sul from getting a goal against them. Leopoldo Sanches fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Moura having to interfere. Claudinho Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Sanches in the 42nd minute of play. Gianluigi Donnarumma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dadá Torres in the 46th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ladislao Mazurkiewicz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gianluigi Donnarumma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dadá Torres in the 56th minute of the match. AS Pikachuzim's Claudinho Moura proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save AS Pikachuzim from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dadá Torres in the 60th minute of play forced S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
