An unexpectedly hard shot by Jefferson Maia in the 23rd minute of play forced CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Lauro Linhares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Vítor Guimarães didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís de Lara went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 42nd minute Jefferson Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Lauro Linhares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jefferson Maia. With 47 minutes on the clock, Célio Albuquerque commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Célio Albuquerque hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elias Damasceno made a kick off. João Vítor Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliézer Ramos in the 52nd minute of play. João Vítor Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glauco Paranaense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 59 played minutes 卡納里尼奧 FC got a freekick which was hit by Amílton Marinho. Luís de Lara charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís de Lara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 卡納里尼奧 FC made a substitution. Severino da Cunha replaced Vítor da Costa. 76 minutes into the game, Jefferson Maia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 卡納里尼奧 FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CE LAJEADENSE RS the free kick.
