Bola Forte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Claudinho Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the game, Dadá Torres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AS Pikachuzim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mamutes EC the free kick. After a rather tough play, AS Pikachuzim's Dadá Torres got a free kick in the 11th minute. With his leg Claudinho Moura managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when Mamutes EC's Dé Lira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 17th minute Cristian Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcinho Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dadá Torres in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcinho Fonseca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 28th minute Cristian Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcinho Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Augusto de Lima during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marcinho Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Bittencourt in the 38th minute of play. Marcinho Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute of the game, Tiago Lira landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Diamantino Donato's late challenge caught a AS Pikachuzim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diamantino Donato helped the player get up and apologised.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Almir Damião made a kick off. After 51 minutes, Almir Damião mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mamutes EC and the AS Pikachuzim players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st minute, Almir Damião hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcinho Fonseca was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Luizão Fontes. Claudinho Moura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Almir Damião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the match, Mamutes EC's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei do Valle came free, but Marcinho Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute Mamutes EC were awarded a corner. David Lima went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 66th match minute, Mamutes EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Almir Damião to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the game, Cristian Bittencourt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mamutes EC reached it. Marcinho Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dadá Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcinho Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovânio Vasconcelos in the 92nd minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
