Telmo Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sten, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 18 minutes into the match, A.A. Francana's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sten came free, but Telmo Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Villaverde Celeste Clube fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Villaverde Celeste Clube's Frank Sten looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Villaverde Celeste Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Armandinho Vergílio came free, but Alfredo Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42ndth minute of the game Frank Sten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.A. Francana's Telmo Trigo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alberto Valladares hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Válbson Soeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. João Adolfo Leite was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Cido Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 53 minutes into the match, Frank Sten notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of A.A. Francana's Telmo Trigo. Telmo Trigo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Telmo Trigo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wilton Berger went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. The Villaverde Celeste Clube fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Villaverde Celeste Clube's Frank Sten looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to A.A. Francana getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Evandro Mangueira hit a great ball. Giuliano David charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Giuliano David the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of A.A. Francana booed when Villaverde Celeste Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuliano David didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 85 minutes, Wilton Berger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villaverde Celeste Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilton Berger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Adolfo Leite could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Alfredo Linares made a huge save. Waldemar Lucas hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Villaverde Celeste Clube's Alfredo Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armandinho Vergílio in the 93rd minute of play.
