But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Glauco Paranaense couldn't finish the play. Válbson Soeiro hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Telmo Trigo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Glauco Paranaense's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. The supporters of CE LAJEADENSE RS booed when A.A. Francana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cido Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Glauco Paranaense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eliézer Ramos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Telmo Trigo made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Adolfo Leite in the 60th minute of play forced CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Lauro Linhares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armandinho Vergílio helped the player get up and apologised.
