João Vítor Guimarães was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elias Damasceno got free with Fritz Lindqvist in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elias Damasceno hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Sidnei Dionísio hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Fritz Lindqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amílton Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute, Elias Damasceno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fritz Lindqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. 卡納里尼奧 FC made a substitution. Severino da Cunha replaced Vítor da Costa. If Elias Damasceno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fritz Lindqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidnei Dionísio in the 74th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elias Damasceno during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 76th minute, Elias Damasceno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
