If Róbson Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alfredo Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Falcão Marques in the 27th minute of play. Alfredo Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Villaverde Celeste Clube getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Vitinho Garcia hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, Villaverde Celeste Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Adalberto Vianna came free, but Alfredo Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalberto Vianna in the 32nd minute of play forced Villaverde Celeste Clube's goalkeeper Alfredo Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Adalberto Vianna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredo Linares was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Falcão Marques sped through Villaverde Celeste Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alfredo Linares. Alfredo Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Falcão Marques in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Rondinone F.C - FDFDF were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Adalberto Vianna might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredo Linares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adalberto Vianna ran back to his position shaking his head. Adalberto Vianna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Alfredo Linares made a huge save. In the 56thth minute of the game Falcão Marques who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villaverde Celeste Clube's Alfredo Linares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Gil dos Santos fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's protests and gave Gil dos Santos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th match minute, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Rondinone F.C - FDFDF booed when Villaverde Celeste Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuliano David didn't get a good kick on the ball. Charles Sarmento came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Villaverde Celeste Clube's Frederico Godoi. But to his dismay, Frederico Godoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. A hard shot 85 in the game by Luís Eduardo Arce from a close distance when the talented Alfredo Linares managed to make a qualified save. Villaverde Celeste Clube's players were relieved.
