Castanheiro SC's Doni Seco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Bittencourt in the 12th minute of play. Claudinho Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júnior Alagoano in the 15th minute of play. After 16 minutes AS Pikachuzim's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marcelo Eger who took care of the corner kick. Castanheiro SC's Marcelo Eger was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Claudinho Moura in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Castanheiro SC's Luisinho Seco pulled a muscle in his back after 22 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 22 minutes into the game, Cristian Bittencourt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AS Pikachuzim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castanheiro SC the free kick. Castanheiro SC made a substitution. Fiori Félix replaced Luisinho Seco. AS Pikachuzim's Claudinho Moura proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save AS Pikachuzim from getting a goal against them. Doni Seco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 37th minute Marcelo Eger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Cristian Bittencourt notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Castanheiro SC's Doni Seco. Doni Seco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ronaldo Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Sarmento in the 43rd minute of play forced AS Pikachuzim's goalkeeper Claudinho Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 played minutes Castanheiro SC got a freekick which was hit by Júnior Alagoano. After the first half AS Pikachuzim were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gil Vale during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dadá Torres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Doni Seco made a huge save. Castanheiro SC's Doni Seco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Castanheiro SC from getting a goal against them. 64 minutes into the match, AS Pikachuzim's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Eger came free, but Claudinho Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of AS Pikachuzim booed when Castanheiro SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júnior Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doni Seco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vito Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 70th match minute, AS Pikachuzim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luizão Fontes to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Castanheiro SC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Marco Bezerra hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, AS Pikachuzim's goal looked a bit too open when Telmo da Fonseca came free, but Claudinho Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 80th play minutes Mauro Sarmento shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Claudinho Moura and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, AS Pikachuzim's Dadá Torres got a free kick in the 88th minute. After 95 minutes, Dadá Torres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AS Pikachuzim and the Castanheiro SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Castanheiro SC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
