With a little luck, Winthont FC's Fokke Bergman got control of the ball when Mané Garrincha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alfredo Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sipke Oosting in the 33rd minute of play. Waldemar Lucas's late challenge caught a Winthont FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
