In the 3rd minute, Oséas Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charles Sarmento was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Eliézer Ramos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eliézer Ramos really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Chicão Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís de Lara got free with Charles Sarmento in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 17 minutes into the game, Luís de Lara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Charles Sarmento was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 20 minutes into the match, Adalberto Vianna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lauro Linhares. CE LAJEADENSE RS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adalberto Vianna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Charles Sarmento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Rondinone F.C - FDFDF from getting a goal against them. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Lauro Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Falcão Marques in the 27th minute of play. After 29 played minutes Rondinone F.C - FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Coutinho. 31 minutes into the game, Eliézer Ramos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CE LAJEADENSE RS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rondinone F.C - FDFDF the free kick. After 31 played minutes CE LAJEADENSE RS got a freekick which was hit by Eliézer Ramos. In the 36th minute Falcão Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Falcão Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lauro Linhares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Falcão Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Glauco Paranaense made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes CE LAJEADENSE RS got a freekick which was hit by Luís de Lara. In the 54th minute of the match Rafinha Sergipano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lauro Linhares showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in CE LAJEADENSE RS's zone, Falcão Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lauro Linhares came out of the goal and Falcão Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cléber de Souza hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute Falcão Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 minutes of play CE LAJEADENSE RS's Eliézer Ramos was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Tiago Fontes was substituted for Adriano Secco. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Luís Eduardo Arce was substituted for Gil dos Santos. After a rather tough play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Eliézer Ramos got a free kick in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Lauro Linhares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Eduardo Arce. In the 74th match minute, CE LAJEADENSE RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glauco Paranaense to maneuver through the defense. Lauro Linhares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Falcão Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Falcão Marques ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lauro Linhares. Lauro Linhares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Adalberto Vianna's late challenge caught a CE LAJEADENSE RS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adalberto Vianna helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Rondinone F.C - FDFDF getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Adalberto Vianna hit a great ball. In the 94th play minute Luís Eduardo Arce came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Lauro Linhares. 2-4. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
