SinháCity FC's Gustavo Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislao Mazurkiewicz in the 34th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Nando Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ladislao Mazurkiewicz in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustavo Barral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 40 minutes, Ladislao Mazurkiewicz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ladislao Mazurkiewicz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 47 played minutes SinháCity FC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fábio de Mendonça. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Leopoldo Sanches couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 48th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SinháCity FC. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adelino Vale to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Ladislao Mazurkiewicz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SinháCity FC the free kick. After 53 played minutes S.E.R. Caxias do Sul got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Mazurkiewicz. When Ladislao Mazurkiewicz came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the S.E.R. Caxias do Sul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ladislao Mazurkiewicz couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ladislao Mazurkiewicz got free with Gustavo Barral in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in SinháCity FC's zone, Leopoldo Sanches stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Barral came out of the goal and Leopoldo Sanches tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Adelino Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Komen Grama came free with the goalkeeper in the 85th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gustavo Barral could save by the left post. Leopoldo Sanches fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Barral having to interfere. If Leopoldo Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
