Luisinho Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Divina Comédia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Sarmento came free, but Bebeto Campidelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Mauro Sarmento in the 14th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Bebeto Campidelis kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. In the 23rd minute, Luiz Fabiano Gøl made a precise shot to the right of Doni Seco. Castanheiro SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Divina Comédia FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Marcelo Eger scored to the left of an out of position Bebeto Campidelis, making the score, 2-1. Mauro Sarmento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bebeto Campidelis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. After 29 played minutes Divina Comédia FC got a freekick which was hit by Frank Rosado. Bebeto Campidelis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Sarmento, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Bebeto Campidelis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Eger in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Luiz Fabiano Gøl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doni Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bebeto Campidelis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelo Eger went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. After 37 played minutes Divina Comédia FC got a freekick which was hit by Nilton Veiga. Castanheiro SC's Telmo da Fonseca got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Júnior Alagoano in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bebeto Campidelis saved Divina Comédia FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Eger in the 52nd minute of play forced Divina Comédia FC's goalkeeper Bebeto Campidelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute Mauro Sarmento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bebeto Campidelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bebeto Campidelis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telmo da Fonseca in the 86th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Marcelo Eger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Castanheiro SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2. José Paulo Negri hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Castanheiro SC were the better team. Castanheiro SC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
