Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Frank Sten started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Mamutes EC's Felippe Zanette got a free kick in the 5th minute. A collision led to Mamutes EC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Robinho Oliveira hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Mamutes EC's Robinho Oliveira got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 18th minute of the match, Frank Sten tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcinho Fonseca saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Alfredo Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giovanni Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 21 minutes into the match, Giovanni Porto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfredo Linares. Villaverde Celeste Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giovanni Porto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Frank Sten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Marcinho Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcinho Fonseca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Giuliano David in the 31st minute. After 33 played minutes Mamutes EC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Augusto de Lima. In the 37th minute Luiz Netto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcinho Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Frank Sten recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcinho Fonseca. Frank Sten showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Villaverde Celeste Clube's Frank Sten got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the game, Alberto Galvão lined in a short shot 3-1 behind a frustrated Marcinho Fonseca. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Almir Damião made a kick off. Frank Sten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcinho Fonseca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. In the 64th minute, Mamutes EC's Felippe Zanette seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Felippe Zanette the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mamutes EC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Felippe Zanette had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 63 minutes into the game, one of Mamutes EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Mamutes EC's Bola Forte was substituted for David Lima. Marcinho Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Frank Sten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcinho Fonseca was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Frank Sten sped through Mamutes EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcinho Fonseca. Marcinho Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mané Garrincha in the 89th minute of play. In the 95th minute Giovanni Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Linares came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Mamutes EC's Bola Forte. But to his dismay, Bola Forte quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mamutes EC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Villaverde Celeste Clube.
