Anis Achour didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Caco Guimarães went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Symba booed when Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomás San Juan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Tomé Oliveira made a huge save. Anis Achour showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caco Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Anis Achour had in the 12thth minute some difficulties stopping Sandro Alvarenga's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Caco Guimarães managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Caco Guimarães was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anis Achour breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sílvio Veiga in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomé Oliveira saved Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Symba's zone, Magno Nunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anis Achour came out of the goal and Magno Nunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the game, Amine Ziadi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Symba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. the free kick. After a rather tough play, Symba's Amine Ziadi got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Anis Achour took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magno Nunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomás San Juan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Symba's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Botelho came free, but Anis Achour reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caco Guimarães blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anis Achour having to make a save. When Albertinho de Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s protests and gave Albertinho de Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. Symba's Amine Ziadi couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 47th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Rua Ferreira Viana F.C..

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sílvio Veiga to strike the kick off in the second half. Tomé Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás San Juan in the 51st minute of play. When Symba's Sílvio Veiga in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Téo Campidelis in the 68th minute of play forced Symba's goalkeeper Anis Achour to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomás San Juan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Oliveira having to interfere. Tomé Oliveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sílvio Veiga's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomás San Juan in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomé Oliveira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 93rdth minute of the game Tomás San Juan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s Tomé Oliveira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
