Edmond Verdun made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Emílio Terra kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marta Pressley. That made the score 1-1 in the 23 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bo Ros in the 27th minute of play forced Errecaborda AFC's goalkeeper Edmond Verdun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmond Verdun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bo Ros made a kick off. A nice corner shot did that Claudio Caniggia got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edmond Verdun quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Marta Pressley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emílio Terra in the 54th minute of the match. Marta Pressley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Rameriz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the match, Errecaborda AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bo Ros came free, but Edmond Verdun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bo Ros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmond Verdun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Marta Pressley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Jerardo in the 62nd minute of play. Errecaborda AFC's Edmond Verdun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Errecaborda AFC from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Prospero Jerardo in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marta Pressley saved 【E ➣15 de Julio 2009 from getting behind. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Errecaborda AFC's goalkeeper Edmond Verdun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
