With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silverio Tuste in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kılıçhan Mertkal saved The Power Guido FC from getting behind. In the 4th minute Newells Old Boys were awarded a corner. André-Pierre Gignac went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Newells Old Boys's Horacio Errapel getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Kılıçhan Mertkal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horacio Errapel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wiliam Fernandes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Serafino Jurdan firmly grabbed it by the left post. Serafino Jurdan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lenílson Toledo in the 14th minute of the match. Newells Old Boys's Serafino Jurdan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Newells Old Boys from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes into the game, Wiliam Fernandes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Power Guido FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Newells Old Boys the free kick. Wiliam Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The Power Guido FC's Kılıçhan Mertkal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horacio Errapel in the 24th minute of play. After 26 played minutes The Power Guido FC got a freekick which was hit by Long John. Newells Old Boys's Serafino Jurdan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Newells Old Boys from getting a goal against them. Serafino Jurdan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Long John in the 31st minute of the match. Kılıçhan Mertkal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silverio Tuste in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lenílson Toledo in the 33rd minute of play forced Newells Old Boys's goalkeeper Serafino Jurdan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silverio Tuste blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kılıçhan Mertkal having to make a save. 37 minutes into the match, The Power Guido FC's goal looked a bit too open when Silverio Tuste came free, but Kılıçhan Mertkal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute of the match Horacio Errapel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kılıçhan Mertkal skillfully saved the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The Power Guido FC's Kılıçhan Mertkal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save The Power Guido FC from getting a goal against them. Silverio Tuste scored 0-2 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kılıçhan Mertkal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Power Guido FC's Sandro Joabe was substituted for Faustão Arantes. The Power Guido FC's Rafael Carioca was substituted for Long John. The Power Guido FC's Aílton Rezende was substituted for Alonzo Carrillos. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wiliam Fernandes in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Serafino Jurdan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 82nd minute Rafael Carioca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafino Jurdan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kılıçhan Mertkal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silverio Tuste's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. The supporters of Newells Old Boys booed when The Power Guido FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute, Rafael Carioca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Power Guido FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2.
