Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Francisco Seco started the match with the kick off. Alberto Gisbert charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberto Gisbert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 3 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Gisbert. 4 minutes into the game, Walmir Breckenfeld recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. Walmir Breckenfeld showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walmir Breckenfeld in the 7th minute of play. After 8 minutes Uruguay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Konstantinos Kroustallis who took care of the corner kick. In the 13th minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horaţiu Petran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zoltán Varga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zoltán Varga. 19 minutes into the match, Gyál United's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Horaţiu Petran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmir Breckenfeld, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Breckenfeld in the 25th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camilo Covarrubias's late challenge caught a Gyál United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Covarrubias helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of Uruguay:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gyál United:s goal. Horaţiu Petran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 33rd minute of play. Kevin Carballal hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. When Konstantinos Kroustallis came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Gyál United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Konstantinos Kroustallis couldn't finish the play. If Maximiliano Escribano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arturo Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Walmir Breckenfeld put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. After 43 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Seco. If Walmir Breckenfeld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Konstantinos Kroustallis in the 47th minute.

Zoltán Varga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, Walmir Breckenfeld kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The Uruguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Gayoso should have stopped the shot. 59 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Konstantinos Kroustallis came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gyál United were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Uruguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Konstantinos Kroustallis took the corner. Gyál United's Konstantinos Kroustallis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Joaquin Gayoso in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 63 minutes into the match, Walmir Breckenfeld had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Walmir Breckenfeld was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walmir Breckenfeld in the 71st minute of play. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Francisco Seco hit a great ball. When Gyál United's Walmir Breckenfeld in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uruguay's goalie prevented a goal. In the 80th minute, Kevin Carballal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Zoltán Varga came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute, Zoltán Varga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Zoltán Varga took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-1. Uruguay's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
