Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Volvimos mejores's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Samuel Asteri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Asteri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. A hard shot 9 in the game by Gilberto Eleazar from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. Samuel Asteri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Samuel Asteri saved Volvimos mejores from getting behind. 21 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baraquiel Labarra. Samuel Asteri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 24 minutes, Alejandro Avellaneda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Volvimos mejores and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th minute, Cristian Faro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita, 27 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Samuel Asteri saved Volvimos mejores from getting behind. Agustín Saelices charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agustín Saelices the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 33 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. The Volvimos mejores fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Volvimos mejores's Gilberto Eleazar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 40th minute, Gilberto Eleazar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Samuel Asteri was left in no man's land by his defense there! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilberto Eleazar to make the kick off. After 59 minutes Volvimos mejores's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Felix Montes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Volvimos mejores's Samuel Asteri did a great save. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gilberto Eleazar went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eurico Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Volvimos mejores's goalkeeper Samuel Asteri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luis Andino. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Samuel Asteri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Samuel Asteri made a huge save. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Samuel Asteri came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 79th minute. Volvimos mejores made a substitution. Inocencio Valente replaced Gilberto Eleazar. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Samuel Asteri. Samuel Asteri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Asteri having to interfere. Samuel Asteri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 90th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Samuel Asteri. That made the score 2-4 after 90 minutes of play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Luis Andino hit a great ball. The Volvimos mejores fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
