An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 24th minute of play forced Staffordshire Terrier FC's goalkeeper Clive Holloway to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 32 minutes into the game, when Jonathan Gervaso put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Staffordshire Terrier FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! Clive Holloway went to the wrong direction when Abraham Alguacil was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Clive Holloway came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Tomas Berganza. But to his dismay, Tomas Berganza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Staffordshire Terrier FC's Matt Sullivan in the 42nd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Marcos Cotilla was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Panama through an amazing save. Matt Sullivan succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 42nd playminute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brice Gamble got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Berganza to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Cambeiro to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Staffordshire Terrier FC defense, Isidoro Sarmiento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clive Holloway. The Staffordshire Terrier FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clive Holloway should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Panama's Matthew Garrido got a free kick in the 70th minute. Staffordshire Terrier FC made a substitution. Alex Zanardi replaced Yu Jie Xing. After 71 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Matthew Garrido. Clive Holloway showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Miralles, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 76 minutes had been played when some careless play by Staffordshire Terrier FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abraham Alguacil was slow to take the kick. During this time Panama's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Abraham Alguacil got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Clive Holloway quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alex Cambeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Miralles during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Staffordshire Terrier FC booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Miralles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Staffordshire Terrier FC's Clive Holloway proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Staffordshire Terrier FC from getting a goal against them. Staffordshire Terrier FC's Ferdinando Braccia managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Matthew Garrido in the 90 minute of the game. Matthew Garrido's late challenge caught a Staffordshire Terrier FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matthew Garrido helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th minute, Brice Gamble ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cotilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2.
