A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, murioenmadrid's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 31st minute of play forced murioenmadrid's goalkeeper Ubaldo Matildo Fillol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when murioenmadrid's Luisito Ignado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Duke Greenan kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ubaldo Matildo Fillol having to interfere. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Luisito Ignado made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sebastián Puig to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Ibar in the 54th minute of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ubaldo Matildo Fillol having to interfere. Luisito Ignado took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luisito Ignado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luis Andino struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After having played for 73 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 77 minutes into the match, murioenmadrid's Luisito Ignado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 79th minute. After 85 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. Luisito Ignado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When murioenmadrid's Luisito Ignado in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal.
