Steinn Bjarmason took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Fernandino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Steinn Bjarmason stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Moises Fernandino's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Sztorm Keflavik FC's Loki Jónasson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ricardo Zorita. That made the score 2-0 after 13 minutes of play. The supporters of Sztorm Keflavik FC booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Magrina didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Steinröður Hansson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Zorita was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Moises Fernandino struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Steinn Bjarmason didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Salvador. Steinn Bjarmason made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Fernandino in the 21st minute of play. Loki Jónasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. After 27 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Carvallo. 32 minutes into the game, Joshua Curbelo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Salvador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sztorm Keflavik FC the free kick. In the 32nd match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joshua Curbelo to maneuver through the defense. After 33 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Rubio. Abram Luque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 55th minute, Oliver Adolfsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute Loki Jónasson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Luis Rubio hit a great ball. In the 64th minute, Moises Fernandino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Salvador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 75 minutes into the match, Sztorm Keflavik FC's goalkeeper Steinn Bjarmason had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moises Fernandino. Loki Jónasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. Moises Fernandino succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-2 in the 85th playminute. Steinn Bjarmason came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by El Salvador's Moises Fernandino. But to his dismay, Moises Fernandino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Steinn Bjarmason made an important save on a dangerous shot by Moises Fernandino in the 96th minute. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Sztorm Keflavik FC's Loki Jónasson. But to his dismay, Loki Jónasson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. For all the effort they put into the match, the El Salvador players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sztorm Keflavik FC.
