In the 35th match minute, SJÖARED was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vilhelm Lidman to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Springfält saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Sture Göransson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vilhelm Lidman might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vilhelm Lidman ran back to his position shaking his head. Adrian Springfält made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 42nd minute of play. Adrian Springfält didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 55th minute of play forced SJÖARED's goalkeeper Adrian Springfält to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adrian Springfält tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute of the match Roger Bålström sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilhelm Lidman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SJÖARED's Isak Qvarnström was substituted for Vilhelm Lidman. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Adrian Springfält made a huge save. At last the ball reached Juan Sebastián Puig at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of SJÖARED. 0-2. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urban Rudberg in the 75th minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urban Rudberg in the 90th minute of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urban Rudberg in the 91st minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ecuador had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
