Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Juan Hoffmann made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd match minute, GrosseLapingen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damazy Pietrowiak to maneuver through the defense. Marian Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in GrosseLapingen's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marian Chilavert came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, GrosseLapingen's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Marian Chilavert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. GrosseLapingen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Marian Chilavert despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, GrosseLapingen's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Marian Chilavert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Hoffmann in the 17th minute of play. Marian Chilavert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Felix Montenegro took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marian Chilavert. Marian Chilavert dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that GrosseLapingen's Marian Chilavert managed to reach the ball for a save. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Anastasios Tragas sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anastasios Tragas got free with Julio Vera in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anastasios Tragas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. 39 minutes into the match, GrosseLapingen's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Marian Chilavert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Mihai Stratulat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Mihai Stratulat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 45 minutes into the match, Juan Hoffmann notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Marian Chilavert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 51st minute of the match. GrosseLapingen's Anastasios Tragas got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Juan Hoffmann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marian Chilavert. That made the score 2-2 after 67 minutes of play. Marian Chilavert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 72nd minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when GrosseLapingen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damazy Pietrowiak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
