Eliseo Mina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartolo Beliran having to interfere. Albino Eliu hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lv Qiang Xiao, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Julian Murillo took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bartolo Beliran. Nacho Roca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marian Tuliszewski hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. With a little luck, MARTINETA's Bartolo Beliran got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lv Qiang Xiao in the 71st minute of play. In the 83rdth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MARTINETA's Bartolo Beliran was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 85th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmanuel Reyes to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of MARTINETA booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmanuel Reyes didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Cesaro in the 87th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the game, MARTINETA's Carlos Cesaro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. MARTINETA's Lv Qiang Xiao managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Milagros Fraga in the 94 minute of the game. Carlos Cesaro might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolando Noboa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Cesaro ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Carlos Cesaro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. The MARTINETA supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Peru's performance. The match ended with a win for Peru.
